Breindy Wesel is a seasoned educator and Reading Specialist with over 20 years of experience in Literacy and Special Education. She is passionate about helping educators better understand how children learn, especially in the area of literacy. She also focuses on providing effective, practical teaching strategies that support students with a wide range of learning needs.
A central part of Breindy’s work is her research-based Kriah Reading approach, thoughtfully designed to make reading instruction accessible for all children, regardless of learning style or challenge. Rooted in structured literacy principles, her approach emphasizes structured skill development, multi-sensory learning, and intentional scaffolding to help children build strong reading foundations with confidence.
By building phonological awareness directly into each step of phonics instruction, and combining it with engaging hands-on learning experiences, her approach helps learners of all ages develop stronger decoding skills and lasting reading fluency.
With a Master’s degree in Education focused on Literacy, Breindy is committed to empowering educators with practical, meaningful teaching approaches that support all kinds of learners.
